Can I enroll in a Voluntary Cash Purchase Program or a Dividend Reinvestment Plan?

A Voluntary Cash Purchase Program and Dividend Reinvestment Plan is available for the Funds. These plans are described in the Voluntary Cash Purchase Program and Dividend Reinvestment Plan brochure which is available by writing or telephoning the plan agent:

DWS Scudder Investment Service Company
P.O. Box 219066
Kansas City, MO 64121-9066
Tel: (800) 294-4366

Where can I find pricing information on the Funds?

All three Funds trade on the New York Stock Exchange, and post Net Asset Value data daily on NASDAQ. The trading symbols are:

  NYSE NASDAQ
The European Equity Fund EEA XEEAX
The New Germany Fund GF XGFNX
The Central Europe and Russia Fund CEE XCEEX

The market prices can be found daily in newspapers in the New York Stock Exchange Composite Transactions table. In addition, the weekly edition of Barron's and every Monday's Wall Street Journal lists the market price, net asset value, discount or premium, and 52 week market return as of the prior Friday.

Where do I purchase shares of the Funds?

You may purchase shares of the Funds as you would any other publicly traded company's stock. Your initial purchase will need to be made through a registered broker.

Managed by the Deutsche Bank Group. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Fund shares are not FDIC-insured and are not deposits or other obligations of, or guaranteed by, any bank. Fund shares involve investment risk, including possible loss of principal.

Closed end funds, unlike open end funds, are not continuously offered. There is a one time public offering and once issued, shares of closed end funds are sold in the open market through a stock exchange. Shares of closed-end funds frequently trade at a discount to net asset value. The price of the fund's shares is determined by a number of factors, several of which are beyond the control of the fund. Therefore, the fund cannot predict whether its shares will trade at, below or above net asset value.

Performance is historical, assumes reinvestment of all dividend and capital gain distributions and does not guarantee future results. Investment return and principal value fluctuate with changing market conditions, so that, when sold, shares may be worth more or less that the original cost. Current performance may be lower or higher than the performance data quoted.
